The Sindhi Federation of Bangalore is an apex body comprising of 13 Associations.The primary objectives of the federation are
PROMOTE & PROTECT
To promote & protect the interests of the Sindhi Community at large, by the Federation and/or through its Member Associations
HELP VICTIMS
To assist victims of any Natural Calamity by providing relief in cash/kind/by participating in rehabilitation works Institutions doing such work.
ENCOURAGE FELLOWSHIP
To celebrate festivals and organize cultural functions which promote Fellowship, Sindhi Art & Culture.
HONORING SINDHI'S
To honor any Sindhi Person of Bangalore for his/her outstanding performance in the field of Social Service to the Sindhi Community.
A Brief Note on the Activities of Our Member Association
SINDHI SEVA SAMITI was established in 1956 with its focus of carrying out Social, Cultural,Philosophical, Religious, Educational & Charitable Objectives.
The Eye Donation Project, The Match Making Program(Mitti-Maiti Committee), The Needy Family Welfare & Scholarship Programs, etc are some of the social welfare activities.
Events conducted by Sindhi Federation of Bangalore
The Sindhi Federation of Bangalore conducts the annual Cheti-Chand or Sindhi New Year celebration - HO-JAMA-LO. The event is highly appreciated by the entire community and well attended by over a thousand people.
The purpose of the event is to keep Sindhi traditions alive and bring the community together. The celebrations include something for everyone - games and competitions for children, singing and plays for the adults and traditional Sindhi food for everyone.
